Join this thematic session for an update on the CES’s Society’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Environmental Sustainability Committee’s progress on environmental sustainability focus, a discussion of emerging best practices, and exploration of how evaluators can address environmental sustainability in nuanced, grounded, and intentional ways.

This panel brings together a dynamic group of evaluation consulting firms that are turning traditional consultancy on its head. Wednesday, May 14, 11:00am-12:00pm – From Theory to Practice: Trauma-Informed Evaluation in Action. Join us for an introduction to Jo van Twest Farmer’s Trauma-informed Safety Protocol, a practical resource that outlines how to build participant-led safety considerations into your evaluation projects. Jo will share some background on trauma-informed evaluation practice and how she developed the resource, while team members from Cathexis will share their experiences integrating this protocol into their work.
Friday, May 16, 2:15pm-2:45 pm – Beyond Greenwashing: Lessons from our Journey to Becoming Climate-Inclusive Evaluators. Our team will be leading a storytelling session on our journey so far of how Cathexis is wrestling with the realities of integrating climate-conscious practices as external consultants and what we’ve learned along the way.
