Miranda first learned of the field of evaluation while completing her masters in 2019. She chose to pursue evaluation because she is interested in using qualitative based methods to interact on a closer level with those directly impacted by evidence-based research.
Miranda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the George Washington University in International Affairs and History with a minor in French and a Masters of Science in Public Health from McGill University. Miranda’s two years’ experience working in the areas of infectious disease research and social epidemiology allowed her to develop an expertise in large scale data collection, database management, and quantitative analysis. She also has a strong knowledge base in research methods, study design and data visualization.
Miranda is a retired professional soccer player, an avid baker, and is trilingual (English, French and Italian). She also has a passion for working with youth, having volunteered and coached for various organizations including the Grassroots Project, First Star and Club de Soccer Mont-Royal Outremont (CS-MRO).
