Brian has been a project manager and evaluation specialist for over 40 years, largely in the fields of mental health, addiction (including co-occurring disorders) and public health. He is widely recognized as a trainer in evaluation theory and practice and has taught program and policy evaluation at the university level and led capacity building workshops across Canada and internationally. Brian is a full professor in the Dept. of Public Health Sciences (Primary) and the Dept. of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. In 2013, Brian stepped down from his role as the Head of Health Systems and Health Equity Research for the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and continues contributing to the field as Scientist Emeritus at CAMH, student mentorship at U of T, and on a private consulting basis. We always appreciate Brian’s depth of knowledge related to mental health and addictions and appreciate his contributions to projects in those areas.
