Jacquelyn is an enthusiastic evaluator whose favourite aspects of her work include understanding her clients’ needs to help design tailored projects, conducting focus groups and interviews and learning lots from participants, and consolidating data into meaningful findings for her clients.
Jacquelyn got into evaluation after starting her career in knowledge translation and implementation science. She has always been interested in working with others to help make sense of complex issues and has always “followed her nose” towards interesting work that helps her continue to learn and grow!
Prior to joining Cathexis, Jacquelyn worked at Public Health Ontario where she worked with a variety of public health program areas, including infection prevention and control, communicable diseases, immunization, and health promotion and injury prevention. She has spent time in Ghana as a volunteer with Engineers Without Borders Canada, where she learned about operations and design and implementation approaches with an international tech company.
Jacquelyn holds a Masters of Public Health with a specialization in social and behavioural health sciences and a Bachelor of Health Sciences in health promotion. Outside of her work with Cathexis, Jacquelyn volunteers with a local Girl Guide unit where she spends time re-visiting the same activities she loved when she was 8 years old. She can also be found visiting the Niagara wine region where she grew up, jogging around the city, and planning her next travel adventure (ideally somewhere with mountains or the sea!).
