Janine holds a Bachelor of Public Health from the University of Waterloo, and a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Both her undergraduate and master’s degree focused on using a social determinants of health and systems thinking lens to understand and address public health challenges.
Her experience includes survey development, literature reviews, policy and program evaluation, and qualitative research in work and health, and evidence-informed decision making in public health.
She is especially interested in qualitative program evaluations because they involve engaging community members and collaborating with them to inform program development, ensuring their voices are at the forefront.
She spends her free time playing volleyball, lifting weights, singing, and walking all over town with her dog!
