Lais is a skilled evaluator who has contributed to over 20 evaluations. She excels at turning raw data into useful information by applying her data analysis and visualization skills. Lais has extensive experience working with SPSS and Excel and applying user-centered approaches to communicate findings.
Lais is a member of the Canadian Evaluation Society’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Working Group. Her social science training, commitment to social justice, and lived experience as a newcomer in Canada help her bring an anti-oppression lens to her evaluation work.
Prior to joining Cathexis, Lais was a legal professional for over seven years in the Brazilian justice sector. Her legal training granted her sophisticated critical reasoning skills and experience in synthesizing multiple lines of evidence and developing practical recommendations.
When she is not working, Lais loves to dive into good books, explore new parks, and enjoy a good Brazilian barbecue with her friends.
