The Cathexis team recently collaborated on an article with one of our favorite clients (and co-conspirators in the effort to continually improve medical education in Canada), Dr. Ivy Oandasan at the College of Family Physicians of Canada. The article, titled “Twelve tips for improvement-oriented evaluation of competency-based medical education”, has just been published in Medical Teacher, an international journal of health sciences education. In it, we show how implementers of competency-based medical education (CBME) can embed evaluation in their programs to ensure that CBME adapts to the changing demands of the healthcare system.
