Not-for-Profit Organizations (NPOs): These organizations operate for purposes other than generating profit, often focusing on social, charitable, cultural, educational, or recreational objectives. Examples include the Canadian Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity Canada, and the Canadian Cancer Society.

Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs): These are voluntary groups, not affiliated with any government, that work on various issues, including human rights, environmental, and developmental work. Examples include World Wildlife Fund Canada and Amnesty International Canada.
